Brake resivoure compatibility

Hi all. Just wondering about the compatibility of the brake resivours. I went to the wreckers today and found one but it had these electronic contectors on it.

They look like they are for detecting the fluid level, but I could be wrong. Anyone have a clue?

Let me guess, your brake reservoir is leaking where it screws into master cylinder, and your vacuum servo is rusting to smitherines and paint getting stripped from engine well.

Possibly they've got hydaulic fluid resistant, latex plumbers tape that can be wrapped around threads where existing reservoir attaches to master cylinder.

Dont know how many different reservoirs they used, including dual 'siamese twin' versions that include clutch reservoir... but fluid level sensors should have nothing to with whether the Junkyard part will fit your car.

Crazy and out-of-your-mind 'upgrade' would be adding hook-ups from fluid level sensors, creating another input for brake light on the instrument cluster.

*ponders doing the fluid level light.. *
the seals on mine just disintergrated when I removed them, because I had to replace the brake master cylinder and a lot of the junk cars have very good reservoir seals.
Looks like I might drop off at there again and pic one up

Eh, those fluid level sensors are a pain in the you know what on cars that are meant to have them On my 114 the reservoir sits about 4 degrees above horizontal (and heaven knows I've tried to get it to sit flat....grrr) so one sensor always activates. Only solution .... disconnection. Got sick of the brake light flashing on and off ... scared the wife silly every time she took the car out on the freeway.
