getting the instrument cluster out, so I can reach the fader wires from the inside. Fun, fun.

The knob that is supposed to hold the cluster in is missing, I assume, since I can pull the whole thing out pretty far- it is not attached very tightly to anything- from there, simply unscrew the speedo connection? I can feel that behind there, preventing its coming out any further- this should give me enough slack to get behind the wood on the left side, right?

Need to be careful of the temp guage connection, this much I know-

Have decided that I am going to extend the wires from the fader, after labeling which speaker goes to which wire. Don't feel like running new wire all the way to the rear.

If you have any instrument cluster hints, send them along...
