(I hope it's okay I posted this in 2 places... if not remove this one)
The gasser in amongst all the other diesels just doesn't 'fit'. She's a sweet girl, and I do this with some reluctance, but due to a lack of space, Mary is for sale.
Mary is a 1973 280 with 112,000 miles. We are the third owners-- the first being a senior who bought her new and owned her for 20yrs, the second owner had (at least) three other cars and only drove Mary once or twice a week. We also drive her a couple times a week. So, the mileage is pretty low. She runs well, starts well (once you know the secret handshake), and handles well. Still tons of power. She breezed through emission testing. The seats are perfect condition MB tex, the dash has no cracks. The floor mat on the drivers's side came unravelled and I have another sitting on top (for a different model).
Since we've had her, we replaced the distributor cap/rotor and spark plugs wires, replaced the intake manifold gasket.
She does have a number of rust issues, which the previous owner tried to fix. Her paint is pretty dull and lustless. She'd be a good daily driver for someone, or a restore project, or an excellent parts car.
She is located in the burbs of the burbs of Vancouver, BC.
Asking $700US. You can email for pictures to ask questions. She needs a good home!
