What grease fro 116 rear hubs
What type of grease should I use in the rear wheel bearings of a 116 6.9?
Thanks, Ken. |

None. They lubed for life and sealed at the factory. If there is any grease leaking out, the seals are shot and you need to replace the bearings. Double race ball bearing, almost never fail.
Real PITA to replace by now, they are surely rusted in place! Peter

Tapered rollers in the rear hubs? Anything is possible with MB!
In that case, I'd use high melting point synthetic wheel bearing grease, same as I'd use for the front wheel bearings. Treat it the same as a front hub, too. Peter
