Nancy:
the picutre of rear seat area posted by Dieseldog (I think) is exactly my interior and color. Go with the REAL fabric. It is outstanding. I've owned several older benzes with leather. I also live in a hot climate. (Miami area). And take my word on it - the MB verlour is outstanding, offering comfort and lateral support. That's helped by the corderouy ribs on the side bolsters. I love it down here much more than the leather. Besides, it's a rarity - and really sets your car apart. Find the real stuff. Bob |

Hey,
Here's something kind of funny about a year back I was hunting the local import yard for benz parts and came across a 280 with the cloth , looked like someone had just reupholstered it.The car had been rear ended. the car was silver with gray ribbed interior. At the time I thought who in the world would do such a cheap thing, had no clue that it was a gray market car. Even still I was entertaining pulling it just because for the 200.00 for the set was a killer deal, next day I went back and some turd used the back seat to lay on to work under the car. Yes, the more I think about it, the velour is very cushy to set on |

I have an 84 (280SEL) gray market car with the gray valour interior and love it. I just picked up a 1980 SD that needs the seats rebuilt and I'd love to have valour in it also, however I think I'll have to take what I can get. Parts can be a problem but check this place (importedcarparts.com) The had my gray market water pump to me in three days.
