What size socket for the balancer on 4.5?

My friend will be getting his soon and the day after Thanksgiving we are doing the valve seals. We aren't going to want to go to Sears that day because that is in the mall and everyone knows you can't go near those places since it is the busiest shopping day of the year. We just want to make sure we have EVERYTHING to do this so we don't get caught up.

If you mean the crankshaft bolt, it is 27mm.

With the spark plugs out, you can also turn the crank via the hole in the balancer. Short Phillips screwdriver with a fairly hefty shaft works, although there isn't all that much clearance. However, there isn't all that much clearance for a ratchet, either.

There should be a plastic cover over the balancer, it just prys out.

Just keep in mind that you have to remove the fan to do this. Otherwise you'll NEVER get the wrench in there.

One site used to have it on the guide for M117 guide rails, but it's now a pay site *curses*. It said the ideal length, but I cannot recall it. Protect the rad with cardboard while you do it, and using a breaker bar makes life a ton easier.
