Karlyn vs OEM [bosch] plug wires on a 280SEL
The Bosch ones are avalable locally for over 100 while the Karlyn wires are avalable online for about half.
Which would you chose? |

Karlyn. Bosch wires are to be generally avoided and are definitely not OE.

The Bosch set for the 280SEL 6 cylinder has 5 standard spark plug connectors with the full metal shields and 1 right angled plug that will not fit anything. Don't bother ordering the Bosch since you're going to have to send it back anyway. I put the Karlyn's on mine and they are a very nice wire set.

You shouldn't need to replace the connectors that go on the distributor cap or the ones that go on the plugs.
They unscrew from the wires - unscrew them and then cut new wires to the proper length, then screw the new ones on. The plug boots and the cap plugs have built-in resistances. Also, OEM is Beru, not Bosch.

who cares whats OEM? Bosch make high quality german wire leads. theyre what i'd go for unless the others are wire..
i've got a set of silicone leads on my M110, and never again! they're hopeless. even a second hand set of wires would be better.
