Question re: 4.5 exhaust system
I am just curious......is there any exhaust crossover inside the muffler and/or resonator for the V8's? Or are they discrete pipes inside?

Dual pipe, single mufflers, so I guess that counts as a crossover, eh?
Probably simply slotted or perforated pipes inside the can, looks to be as if the pipes go straight through. Peter

That wat I was wondering. If no baffle between the pipes then I would consider that the crossover. The reason behind my thought was that if there was no crossover then each pipe would be discrete for each bank and obseving the tail pipe soot deposit would help evaluate rich/lean conditions caused by injectors.

Pull the plugs to check for single injector problems. Exhaust pipe is only going to help for overall mixture.
