Pic shows Corvette luggage rack with Wilson CB radio antenna on my '79 240D...... deffinitely the BEST luggage rack to get for increasing load capacity, it kinda dresses up an otherwise dull trunk area too. The rack rests solid 2" above the sheetmetal and it is huge, great for roping down deer carcass during hunting season. Thats an old military trunk in foreground - it was removed from the rack for this picture.... I call the military trunk "diplomatic immunity" against getting pulled over by the police.

I don't recall a euro light 111 around the area...but I am sure there are cars I have never seen. I know there's a pretty nice light pastel green one around here too.

Is that yellow 280SEL a rare color? I have never seen another like that. Very unusual and pretty.

I dunno if the 126 is really "vintage"...but maybe this thread isn't too picky. Sorry if the pics are too large or anything

Here's the fintail and the 126 together

And here is how it looks now with Euros

What a bunch of good looking fin-tails and 108's!! I'll throw a pic of my old ponton into the mix. It's a 1958 190Da, otherwise known as "Sputter" (for obvious reasons if you've ever heard a OM621 running along!) . Keep the photos coming!

There's an upload feature for pics from your HD, but they must be under like 65K

I had the fintail out yesterday (for the first time in 7 or 8 weeks...weather has been horrible), and took a few pics of it. The car was not too happy when I started it...missed and sputtered and didn't want to seem to run on all cylinders. But after maybe 5 mins of driving it was perfect, and it ran fine. It feels so much sportier than the 126.

Someone I know wanted a dashboard shot, so here is one.

And a simple side view

Here's my 280, the day I discovered her endless thirst (busted block). Still sitting as delivered, crap tires and dented hood, $50.

Hope the pixlation isn't too bad, the scan look great at 11.8 megs.....

There are some amazing looking cars in this thread- the china blue fintail is wonderful. And I'd steal that light blue 126 chassis out from under you any day, esp. with those euro lamps.

My 108 is a pretty rare color, 606G, maple yellow. I've only seen one other 108 in this color, I like it very much.

Also, the luggage rack on the back of the 240 look the bomb!

I like that yellow too. It really suits that car. Was that a special order color? I bet it is even less common than a DB334 fintail...I have seen 2 others in that color. I think that nice looking red fintail up above is also an unusual color. And speaking of racks...I think it would be cool to find a vintage roof rack for the fintail, the wood slatted kind.

Thanks for the compliments too. My cars are pretty photogenic. I've been told I should put the fintail on ebay because it looks so nice in pics...but then people would be less pleased when they saw it in person! It's not as mint as the pics show, but it is better than many (in that it is roadworthy and not too rusty). Both cars are good 10-footers.
