Vintage Mercedes convertible

I guess I'll have to join the group and post a pic of my 63 220 SEb. Not evident in the picture but the old paint was crazing badly and I just had it stripped to bare metal this past week using baking soda blast. I was pleased to find that the only rust was at both spare tire well drain holes with the rocker area being rust free. The doors, fenders, hood will be removed and painted seperately. Final color will be black with a hint of green.

Nice medium width whitewalls...what kind are they?

I'd like to get a set of period looking wide whites for my fintail, but they must be radials.

Just came across an old faded picture of my first Benz.

A 1968 200D, circa 1974. Wish I still had the old beast.

Heres my treasure... Hopefully the photo shows up on this post.
Its not quite as classic as a W108 or fintail, but every day it gets a little bit closer. Just completed the installation of a new front end. Everything has been brought up to as new standards mechanically, and as the picture might imply, its probably about as close as one could get to showroom quality in terms of cosmetics. Someone backed into the drives side doors, so those wioll be replaced and the drivers side will be re finished. Also going to have the bundts re-painted while its in the shop. Taking it to L.R. Spencer's- a well known SL and classic mercedes restoration company throughout the world- check out their site for lots of pictures of beautiful old Mercs they have for sale, aswell as parts if anyone has any needs for them.
