Headlight Problem

I have noticed that about for the last week my driver's side headlight will sometimes go out. If I turn on the brights, they come on. Also, if I go up and hit the light fixture, the light will come back on. Is this being caused by a bad connection that probably just needs cleaned?
Thanks
Tim

Mine was doing that for a while, I thought it may have been a loose wire as well. The bulb burned out. I don't know why it would go back on if I hit it, but it did. It went on for 2-3 days of night driving and then just died completely.

It COULD be a loose wire, but it isn't too likely. Just my 2 cents.

you'll find that its a dry contact or a loose bulb...

pull the light cover off and check the seating and contact of the bulb. if that fails give the terminals a good clean etc.

i've got the same problem on my taill lights
