What Do You Think of This 250C
All -
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6329&item=2455461034 I am thinking about a bid on this car. It has a vinyl top that seller claims was an option in CA. The door panels have been re-done and the sound system is obviously not original. It has had one repaint in original color. Trans is rebuilt and head done at 92K. Otherwise it seems to be the real deal. Opinions? TIA.

I like it. The vinyl top is clearly aftermarket, but I don't mind it. If you can grab it for under $4.5k, it would be a pretty good buy.

Seems nice, reminds me of my 250C, but is it worth a $4000 gamble, plus whatever it costs to ship cross-country?
I guess flying over there to check it over, before the auction ends, is out of the question. Seller just sold a '68 Porsche 912. Wonder why he's getting rid of his toys. Wonder why his 250C was repainted. Happy Motoring, Mark
