byte limit for jpg
I have seen some threads which have jpg images which are larger than the allowed limit (@66,000). How is this done? I have to send an individual thread for each jpg I submit. Help???
Mark

People embed HTML links to point to the graphic files on their own web server, or I should say their provider's web server.

Another picture ?
How does one post multiple pictures in one post?

If you upload them elsewhere, you can use the [IMG] tag to post images (one [IMG] tag per image, it's like the HTML tag but you need to put a [/IMG] tag after the URL).

Tom- I'm a little confused. I usually just copy the location of the image on my computer. Is there a way to post a picture without downloading the picture to my computer first?

Fargewehr: I'm confused - if you see the picture on the internet then your computer has already downloaded it (to look at it), but if you mean link it from another website/webpage, you can do that with the [IMG] tag.
If you mean upload (where you send from your PC to an internet server, including this one) you can do it one picture per post using the attachment feature (you have to find it on your PC, make sure it's under 66Kbytes). Or you can upload it to a webserver, if you have one that will let you remotely link images (free servers like Tripod or Geocities used to allow this several years ago, but not anymore. ISP servers like aol or adelphia or verizon typically still do).

Oh for example, your avatar (personal icon) has been uploaded to the shopforum server so that everyone can see your image - chances are if you just copied the location from your computer (not using the "Browse" button, as that uploads it, but did ) you either run a webserver and have a 24/7 connection, you will be the only one to see it, or others won't see it when you disconnect from the internet.
