Angry 280 electroinc ignition

We need documentation on the electronic ignition for a 1973 280.
My son and I have swapped an engine into a 6cyl 1973 280ce and the 2 cars are wired differently. One uses a wire directly from the distributer and the other does not. Are the modules the same?
How do I test the modules. I have electronic test equipment.

Thanks

We received help from one of the moderators

I searched this forum and contacted one of the moderators on Sunday.

Thanks to this friend on the East Coast who Faxed us a diagram of the 2 variations of the ignition circuit, we were able to get the car running.

The diagrams contained static voltage measurements which was the information we needed to verify the connections and the resistor sizes.

The real problem was an extra wire in the circuit and the fact that the two cars had 2 different versions of ignition circuits.

Thanks for the help!
