What $63.60 at the junkyard can get you...

I finally got those damn wheel locks off the 116 (75 450SE?) in the junkyard by hammering a 12-point 21mm socket over them. I figured if I didn't grab them someone else would, the other 4 lugs were off every wheel! I decided that I'd never find a lock to get them off and it'd be better for me to take them even if I did have to gouge the rims by the lugs, than to have someone else take them for that price and just sell them!

You can see why I wanted them...

It's raining today (when I took these) so that's why they look wet

This has a few dings at 8:00 - any idea how to "fix" that (cover them up)?

This is the "worst" one, as if it were really that bad, just dirty and it started to rain harder, so I didn't bother cleaning it as much as the others.

It has some dings at 7:00-8:00, and some nicks towards the inside at 9:00-10:00, where the paint has come off as well. It also has curb marks, the only one with really noticable ones, but not bad at all.

I tried to cut the tire off to fit it into my trunk - I never realized how hard tires were to get on or off of rims! Guess that's why the tire places have those machines Cutting it revealed this sticker inside (this is the 4th, "worst" wheel)

Looks like you're about to double that expense, since I just sent you the radiator.

Shipping was 11.70$. Paypal to my email address will do fine. You should have it on Tuesday according to UPS. -CTH

CTH, did you still have that radiator you offered me? If you worked something else out, it's no big deal, I can go hunting for a decent enough used one I guess.

My bad. I guess the lines of communication broke down. Where did you find that one? Was it just in a junkyard? I can probably find something around here.

That radiator and 12 others came from several years of parting cars and collecting the parts. My wife got annoyed at the size of the radiator collection, so I carted them all off to the local shop and asked him to throw away the bad ones, and boil out the good and give them back to me. 300$ later, half of them came back. Thus the price of 60$/radiator to get rid of them. The pile started with at least three from the 4.5's, so he didn't like them much.

There are 4.5 parts cars out there. There's a fellow with one near me (or at least he had it back in February). I should check with him to see if he still has it. -CTH
