My 300SEL 6.3 is on eBay - further advice?

Hey there everyone, I have put my beloved 1970 300SEL 6.3 on eBay. She's quite an exceptional, but I was wondering if there was advice someone on the board could give me on how to get the word out.

If you have any suggestions please let me know at tonkatoy25@msn.com. Of course, if you know of anyone that might be interested, please pass on the good news. I'll put the link below: even if you're not interested, it's worth a look. Lots of excellent photos and info.

Cheers!

NICE! The Euros look sweet with that grille guard - you could probably take that off and sell it for $1000 alone! It's super-rare and I bet someone with a ton of money will pay to put it on that uber-teuer 3.5 convertible on eBay now! I've thought about it before with mine but it's in need of a rechrome >_<

is that the correct mounting for the TV? There were half a dozen of those for sale on ebay a couple of years ago. The first one sold for about 30$, the others for over 100$ once somebody realized what they were. -CTH

Is that a Sony Micro-TV in the car?

I have one like that, and I once thought of putting it in my fintail. A little fancy for a normal 111, though

The Sony appears to be a pre-64 model 5 inch Micro-TV - no UHF tuner. I have one, with the fitted Sony carry-case, and also a later UHF version. The Sony carry-case looks somewhat like a miniature Samsonite suitcase.
For an early Fintail, one should really have Sony's first 1960 transistor AC/DC set - the 8 inch model 8-301W. With it's rounded grey cabinet and chrome side moldings, hooded sunshade and perched on a little chrome ring-stand, it looks like something out of a Jetsons cartoon.

Happy Motoring, Mark

Interesting. If I ever get a nice 300SE LWB fintail, I'd really think of putting something like that in it. I can't see it so much in a SWB car, but I can in a LWB car. It's not out of place in that 6.3 either...another fun accessory might be a period car phone.

My Micro-TV has the fitted case, and even a piece of sales literature stored with it, showing the little TV being used in a car.
