kpb: Just a super-quick paintjob with some Rust-Oleum metallic blue... Didn't even sand them off before painting so it's chipping off in a few sponts. Still looks pretty neat to me though Don't have the cash to anodize them myself by any means! Thought about grabbing the plastic (rubber whatever) ones in good shape off a 450, but these "fit" better.

BTW, in case you can't tell, not one of my fuel lines even comes close to rubbing any of the linkages... So take closeups of any areas where they do on yours!

Mike: There are several different vac lines...
1 (and ONLY one) comes off the throttle body - this is the distributor's vac retard line. From TB to switch on firewall, then to dizzy.

3 come off the rear of the intake manifold:
1 - the brake booster has its own source, to the one-way valve, then the booster.
2 - The tranny line goes around the nipple for the door lock vacuum, it's a solid metal line which goes to the tranny and then connects to the module with a short (3"?) piece of hose.
3 - The door lock vac line comes off the nipple/screw that holds the tranny line in as well. This goes directly to a 1-way valve. From that valve on the firewall (by the MAP), it goes to a "T" - the one line goes to the driver's door switch, the other goes to the vacuum tank located behind the splash panel behind the LF wheel. The source line for the locks is all yellow. I believe the vac retard was originally clear but I had to replace mine with black.

Note: The retard line does NOT go straight from the TB to the dizzy... it HAS to go through that switch on the firewall so the idle can increase when the engine gets warm or when you have the AC on during these hot summer days...

lol, ok so someone teed into the line for the power locks and used it for the vacuum retard, bypassing the solenoid.

i spent this morning routing the plug wires and injector harnesses correctly, and the vacuum retard, it looks a lot better in there now, even if it runs the same.

that tranny vacuum line, i'll have to change, i bet its bad
