If it's like my SL -

Get wheels as straight as possible

IN CAR -

Mark wheel-shaft position

Remove steering wheel

Remove turn signal switch

Remove screws holding steering shaft to housing

IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT

Mark shafts on both sides of coupling

Undo screws holding coupling together (easier said than done)

BACK IN CAR

Pull steering shaft up enough to allow coupling to be removed

Reassemble in reverse order
