What color should I paint my w116

Aight after a full restoration of a w116 450sel, I have to paint over that nice black primer. As cool and sophisticated looking at a flat black benz is, I need to slap some paint on there. I have considered shiny black and decided to look elsewhere too. Now I love the artic white and the dark dark dark green.

If you could give me your opinion about this and include pictures if you have any to help me out...Ill be including a pic sometime when I get a chance to click one.

Thanks
Peter

What color is your interior? I think that there are a LOT of bad color combos out there (like silver/blue or silver/red) while there are a lot of really neat ones (silver/black or blue/ash). I would love a nice baby blue 116 or a nice white one, but it depends on what the interior color is!

I like the green color. The interior is by my opinion the best color in these older cars, tan.

The car is not your normal looking 116. I tried to eliminate as much of the chrome as I could...everything around the windows, the side trim was shaved and the antenna too. The chrome piece right in the middle below the windshield is also dechromed. I am thinking about dechroming the euro bumpers soon to be on there and the grill but thats a little away from now. Within a month Ill be putting 17" and lowering it by about an inch and half. Dark tint is on the menu as well.

The interior is presently torn up and needs new seats. I am gonna put some 126 seats in there and fab a mounting place for the controls and all. After that when money permits, I am intending on putting as much suede in as I possibly can(seat inserts, doorpanels, headliner, rear shelf...)

With the rather sluggish 450 engine, im gonna part out a wrecked 560sel and use that engine in mine. This will be the only performance mod that is likely to be done to this car.

Thanks for your input, keep the pictures coming...Im gonna try to take a decent picture of mine when it gets nice out.

Thanks,
Peter
