Question 4.5 Distributor

'72 280 SEL 4.5, distributor shaft seal (not o-ring) leaks oil onto trigger points. I'm looking into having the distributor rebuilt.
Has anybody had any success/experience on having these units rebuilt? Any ideas on associated costs and/or where to have the unit rebuilt are also appreciated.

Thanks

When Randy Durrance was still alive, getting the distributor done AND getting a new petronix (or was it crane, I forget) ignition system was something between 200$ & 300$, and he was the best.

If you want the next best guy (sorry Dan :), check out http://www.sl113.org/links.asp and call Dan Caron. -CTH
