76 450sel hard shift

any one know how to adjust the shift on this model?
it's shifting pretty hard then the wheels will spin while shifting.
it don't seem to have the same type of adjusters as my old 300 did.

Modulator line is leaking of the modulator is bad. Line runs from the right rear corner of the intake manifold bottom half (way down deep, behind the air filter). Modulator is on the right side of the tranny. Banjo bolt connection to manifold.

Check for broken rubber connectors on the steel line as well as corrosion of the line. You can also hook up a MitVac to the modulator to make sure it holds vac, and if you want you can verify the problem by applying vac to the modulator with a long hose while driving.
