You guys in the midwest should start using the internet and research cars in California. They are available rust free at give away prices out here. Once you find something, use the internet to find a shop to check it out. Fly out or take a train or bus and drive it back. There is such a push to sell new cars to people out here wth bad credit, no credit, or no job, that used cars are cheap.

Well, when your 18, and don't want to spend much more than $1500 on a car, that gives me about $300 to actually buy a car since shipping will be $1200+. Would you drive a $1200 '64 MB across the country without looking at it first? I understand that's what the shop's PPI is for, but it's still a long way from Ca - IN. I have actually looked into some in CA, but I wasn't all that impressed. I was looking around Newport Island since that's where my uncle lives and he wants me to fly out anyways to visit him.
Thanks David
