Question '69 250 For sale in NW USA

I don't know much about this car. It is located in Washington. I ran in to it a few days ago while looking for parts for my '68 250S. It bids later today. So far, no one has bid on it though.

What I do know about the car:

Here's what the ad says about it:
Quote:
Vehicle Description

very clean rust free low milage 4door built to last and this car has an almost perfect interior and its orig it shows the upkeep and it has been in storage the last year ,newer tires and a straight clean body and nice paint .liquidating lost storage no reserve sale ,good luck clear washington title and extras

Vehicle Condition

great overall shape for year, needs fluids changed as precaution after storage

Terms of Sale

40% non refundable deposit required 48 hours of end of auction and balance due within 48 hours of that no exceptions unless in writing

I also contacted the seller, and asked if it ran and drove. SHe wasn't real helpful, but replied saying
Quote:
to the best of my knowledge, I have not drove it but I have started it and reparked time to time but it seems all there and worth some tinkering if neccesary thanks
She also has the mileage listed as 13,000 MILES which I was suspicious of, so I contacted her about that. I asked her if it was 113,00 miles, or actually 13,000 miles, since it is highly unlikely to find a '69 with 13,000 miles, and also reminded her that the odometer only reads to the fifth spot so therefore 113,000 miles would show as 13,000 miles. Her exact words in her reply email were:OVER 100,000 MILES. A lady of many words.

Anyway, from the pics and what little info I got from her, this car might be worth bidding on if any of you live up near Washington. If you could pick it up for $500 to $1,000, it might be worth your time. Certianly the parts alone are worth that.....

Good luck, and let me know if anyone bids on it/ wins it......

You know, unless my eyes deceive me (the pictures are pretty darn hard to make out), this is NOT a 250S (108 chassis) but a 250 (114 chassis)!! A HUGE difference in both size and desireability, IMHO. It probably sold for just a little bit less than it's worth, but I hope the buyer isn't too disappointed that it's not the car he or she thinks it is.

Yeah, it was quite obvious to me that it was a 250 , and not a 250S(which is why I listed it here as a 250 and not a 250S), since a 1968 250S is what I own. None the less, it wasn't too expensive, and should be a pretty decent deal for whomever bought it.

IMO a 250 isn't nearly as desirable as a 250S, but its an ok car none the less. Had it been close to home, I might have bid on it myself. But it definitely wasn't worth the $$$$ and trouble to haul half way across the US.

Aw well, good luck to whomever purchased it......
