Audi Wheels for Mercedes?

I've noticed that Audi wheels have the same bolt pattern as Mercedes wheels. I was wondering if anyone has put Audi wheels on their Mercedes. Obviously, offsets would have to match up - but is there any reason that I couldn't put Audi wheels on my car? I've seen several styles that would look good on a W124, and the offsets are in the mid-40s range, matching OEM for my car (44mm).

Thanks,
Troy K.

Offset is one aspect of fit, another is hub diameter since MBs, W124s anyway, use the hub to center the wheel.

Great Point

I hadn't even considered hub diameter - thanks for the heads up, Sixto.

Audi hubs are smaller and would have to be machined larger to fit onto a Mercedes disc. I discovered this while considering the Audi version of Monoblocks . . .

Yes the Audi hubs are about 10-15mm too small in O.D, I tired fitting a set of Audi Speedlines on my E320 and it was close but definately no cigar...a shame!
