I have a 2003 CLK500, and simply put, while I've never been that enamoured with most wheel styles, the wheels on the production SLR are simply the most unique and interesting wheels I've ever seen. I have to have a set, whether that means somehow acquiring a set from Mercedes (which just sounds difficult), or finding a good aftermarket reproduction.

First off I'd like to know if there would be any inherent problems with putting those wheels on a CLK - I can't even find basic specs regarding fit on the SLRs wheels.

Secondly, I'd like to know if and where it'd be possible to acquire a set. Frankly, I'd feel stupid calling up my dealer (who've always been nice mind you, but this is different) and asking if I could purchase a set of wheels from their latest supercar. There must be some allowance for people to purchase them in case of damaged wheels, but can anyone just walk in and buy a set if they had the cash? Somehow I doubt it knowing Mercedes (but certainly I could be wrong), but also knowing Mercedes they'd certainly be ultra expensive if you could. Money isn't really the object, and I wouldn't have issue spending $5k or a little more on a set (without tires), but the price of the SLR probably means that a set would cost $5k a corner.

So that brings me to probably my best and last hope for a reasonably affordable set of turbine wheels, the aftermarket. I've never seen a set, no one I know has, but maybe someone here knows of either a manufacturer who makes high quality SLR style rims, or is planning to sell them in the future.

They are simply the greatest wheels I've ever seen. Thanks in advance for those who try to help me.
