I have 1998 C230 that I have some snow tires for. Do steel wheels cost the same as stock alloys?

I bought 15" wheels for my snows (MB alloy take-offs from ebay: $100 shipped) even though my stock rims are 16"; snows are taller and 15" snows are significantly cheaper.

eddie, did the $100 represent the entire cost, or just the shipping price for all 4 wheels. If the former, sounds like you got a great deal.

UPS ground; I recall that I paid the "buy it now" price, and the shipping charge was actual UPS cost. Funny thing, it snowed before I got to buy snow tires, so I picked up 2 from my mechanic and ran them with 2 of his all seasons on the front, since he had the same wheels from his 560SEC! I hope not to do that again this year---gotta find 2 more snows!
