maybe a dumb question?

i was thinking... what if you did a balance of just the wheel itself (hunter machine with center caps and lug bolts) then mounted the tires and did another balance of the set.

would you gain anything in the balance? like a more balanced set. i'm thinking about this say for those moments when your foot takes hold of you and it can't be helped.

so is it possible to extend the balance point up into 100mph zone. (i know none of us would ever do this). i'm particularly interested in 18 x 8.5 with contiextreme contacts on 1988 126. of course it has h&r springs, new shocks and suspension components.
