I am interested in fitting either a set of these SLK wheels or the 16" 1998-2000 W202 six spoke sport wheels on my C280.

My question is, is wether the SLK wheels will be a direct fit in the rear... it seems that the front will be perfect.. 16/7" with a 37mm offset.

However the rear wheels measure 16/8" with a 30mm offset. Being an inch wider than the 7in., with a lower offset.... will they rub on anything?

I definitely like the staggard look with wider wheels on the rear, but if the wider wheels on the rear wont work I guess I'll have to resort to finidng a set or 16/7" for the front and rear.

Any help/guidance greatly appreciated.

Also, what tire size am I looking at needing with a 16" wheel on a car that is gauged to a 15" wheel?

I believe the rear of the W202 can swallow 8.5 width as is the case on the C36. Not sure of the offset but it also sounds about right. If you can find the offset of the rear of a staggered c36 you'll be in business.
