Has anyone seen these anywhere? I need them badly.

The Mercedes-Benz Classic Centre has just persuaded Fuchs (the original manufacturer) to do a final production run of this rim, which has been out of stock and out of production for some time now. It is expensive, though: about 300euros if I remember. Details in the 2005-1 edition of Mercedes Classic.

Apparently the proper term is the "baroque wheel", but I've never heard that before; always Bundt Cake to me.

This was just brought up in Diesel forum. They are out there but IF you find them be prepared to pay top dollar. I saw a nice set on Ebay about a year and a half ago go for around $500.

A guy a block away from me has mint german imorted 6.9. I noticed that it had bundt cakes, but didn't look close enough to see if they were 15 or 14 inch wheels. Are 15 standard for the 6.9? If so, I didn't know that.

I just checked on tire rack, it only shoes 1979 6.9. It shoes OEM as 14 inch 215 70. What???

Only tires for 1979 6.9 on tire rack are winter rated Blizzaks. Anything under V-rating is a no-go for non-winter driving.

I sent an inquiry to the Mb Classics center in regards to the re-issue of the 15" Fuchs "Baroque" or more commonly known as "Bundt" style wheel...

They are currently offering them at a price of $1140.00 each. No, not a set. EACH.

The part number for the wheel is 126 400 37 02

My understanding is that MB has been selling the reproduction 15-inch Baroque Fuchs wheels for around $500 US each. The latest I heard is that they are sold out, but I cannot confirm this at the present time.

Cheers,
Gerry

There's a 6.9 Euro right down the block form me and it has 14 inch bundt's. I think 14's were stock for the 6.9.

14" Bundt wheels were indeed stock for the US-spec 6.9. Some US dealers chromed the wheels due to then-current fashion, so you see this a lot on US-spec 6.9s too -- particularly those from California.

Cheers,
Gerry
