Originals: Expensive, lighter. (Tirerack)

AMG Penta's are just as much in demand as Ronal R9 replicas....both are as rare as hens teeth.

Not related you say?

Wait a few more years when nobody makes these and you have to settle for used ones........

Funny thing is I actually had AMG replicas and AMG's in my hand and the AMG was heavier. So go figure Maybe it was a freak wheel or something.

Buy what you can afford. If you are going with replicas buy from a reputable company. Some of these companies send the ones with the AMG logo to MB and sell the same ones without the logo themselves.

Wheels

I would give the bekker wheels a shot. Bekker has been around for a while so that would give me reason to belive they are quite reputable.

I would say the orignals would be a better investment. I think you could get more for them if you wanted to sell them later and change them again.
