I have been looking for wheels I like for my 1969 300SEL 6.3 for months. I want 16 inch 7.5 or 8 inches wide. I saw some today I really liked, but they were on a BMW, "BMW factory Cross Spoke wheels for 1995 and newer BMW 7 series" they are the right size, right bolt circle, even the offset at 20mm is right. The center cap is 70 mm same as MB so I could put a MB cap on. Does any one know why I can't use the BMW wheels?

Well I would look at it like this...

If the wheel bolt pattern is the same, offset is correct for that wheel width, and hub is correct size, then by all practicality, it should fit fine.

I'm not a pro, thats just my observation.

I am not 100% certain with those wheels but BMW typically uses 5 X 120 bolt pattern vs. MB at 5 X 112. Also the hub diameter is different; BMW at 72.5 vs. MB at 66.56.

You may want to check out the Ronal wheel site, they have similar wheel style that you are looking for. Good luck.
