I wasn't sure, so I thought I would ask. I have a buyer who wants to purchase my SLK wheels, the staggered setup with 16x7 ET 37 up front, and 16x8 ET 30 in the rear. Do you think they would fit his car. I wasn't sure, so thought I'd post. I was pretty sure they had a lower offset more similar to the SL 129s. Just checking to make sure.

The W126 has a stock ET25. Your wheels would fit if he adds 20mm and 10mm, front and rear spacers respectively. Bekkers has those spacers.

Tire Sizes

So I guess If that works, then a good setup will be 225/55/16 up front and 245/50/16 in the rear. For a touring vehicle like that, I was thinking of recommending the Yokohama Avid V4s all the way around 225/55/16 up front $88 and $92 for the 245/50/16 in the rear.)

I would recomend 225/50-16 and 245/45-16. This setup drives and handle very well.

If you decide to use 225/55-16 and 245/50-16, then use a 15mm front spacer for extra clearance with the taller front tires. No clearance problem at the rear with the 10mm spacers.

Since I would rather have the tire setup recommendation to have almost no speedometer error readings, I would recommend the 225/55/16 front and 245/50/16 rear setup is what I would recommend with the 15mm spacer up front and 10 mm spacer in the rear. Rolling the fenders always helps.

Also I am sure this refers to all 126 chassis, so all SELs and SEC of the 126 model chassis apply to this. Please post back guys if I am making any wrong assumptions. Thanks.
