Luke will know for sure

As I remember, you can fit 215s on the stock rim, but the proper size is 215/60/15. The tires may be a little too tall. In addition, I have found that some snow tires seem to be a little different proportion than standard tires. The more prominent rugged tread may add additional height or girth. Your advantage, in terms of rubbing issues, is that the stock rim set-up allows for quite a bit of clearance at the fender lip. I think a bigger issue may be handling. I think a 215 on a 6.5" wide rim is already at the limit and now you are also adding to the sidewall height and using snow tires. I think our car may wiggle all over with tall wide sloppy winter tires mounted on a narrow rim.

I am sure Luke will come to your aid with an expert opinion, but I couldn't help myself from giving it a shot.
