One thing I enjoy about going to school in DC here at George Washington University, you get to see alot of Diplomat's cars (and there children) nicely outfitted. Saw a CL 600, 20" Brabus in the rear, and 18" up front. Really added a real power image (I am a sucker for staggered setup with larger diamaters in the rear.) Everything from Ferrari 348, to new Porsche, MBs, BMWs, Jaguar's, Aston Martins, etc. Now do you think there governments know about the lavish car's their children drive, or is that another soft benefit of having special rights. (As well as not being caught for speeding, since officers let more Diplomat tags fly by)

Anybody up for starting our own country, aMERCEDica, wanna join I wish I had special privledges.

Yeah I've always been wondering about the same thing for a while now....Does the government back home know what these diplomats kids drive?

Charlie, if that country doesn't have a speed limit and has nice straight roads, I'm in.

I'm not sure how it works in every country but a few years back my father was a diplomat for my country in Japan. It was customary for each new diplomat to purchase a new car (or cars). The choice of car was left up to him within a determined budget. The budget is usually quite generous.
I still regret I didn't get to visit him in the years he spent there

Hey fellas,

Why would you be surprised that Diplomat kids drive expensive cars? These people are rich! These are privileged people with huge salaries & political influence. Diplomats are always people from wealthy backgrounds that have provided huge political contributions or favors to get to be ambassadors, etc.
