Tire chains for a 300SD

Hi, I am asking about what tire chains I should purchase for my SD. I have already contacted local law enforcement and they told that they are legal for "dirt roads and offroad enviroments, but not pavement." Since studded tires are illegal in the LP of Michigan, what would be recommended.

I have GoodYear Assurance TripleTred's on it right now (totally awesome tire, has already saved my hide a few times this winter.)

As a background, my homeschool group has a Basketball team, for whom I videotape all the home games. The gymn we use is about 5 miles from my house, but it's deep in a valley in a pine woods! I'm sure you can imagine what that's like after a snowstorm! I've nearly gotten stuck twice this year, but used my head and made it out allright. (Basically, the chains will be used just to get me out of the woods.)

What clearance class should I buy for my car? Class "S" seems to be most popular (and affordable.) I was seriously looking at the SCC Radial Cable type chains (aircraft cable with coil springs, easier to put on.) the site I was looking on was Vulcan Tire products www.vulcantire.com

Any suggestions?
