What's the tallest & widest tire size for the 14in W123? Tirerack says 205 70R14, but that's not much bigger than the stock. The car has so much clearance around the front and rear tires something bigger must fit?

225/50 tires on 16 inch AMG Pentas WILL hit the front fender.....so don't bother...


Changing the rolling diameter will adversly affect speedo calibration.....its best to keep close to stock on the rolling diameter of whatever you run. and on stock rims you have to worry about clearance to the tie rod ends when cornering (the tire rolls side to side a bit) or hitting the fender.
