Thumbs up People with 14" wheels, what size tires are you running?

Well I picked up a nice piece road debris in the SD and one of my tires is dead. Anyway, since that happened and my other three remaining have some decent weather cracking I have decided to replace all four this upcoming week.

I currently have the stock size 205/70R14 and also checked out some 215/70R14 as I could not find a 215/65R14. The 215/70 is 0.8" taller only so I do not see a problem with running it but figure I'd ask first...

Thanks for input.

The SD has been running 215-70-14's since I purchased it four years ago. They provide a superb ride due to the tall sidewall but the handling leaves a bit to be desired. A bit of a floaty feeling............

When these are shot, I'm going to the 15 hole wheels with 15" tires........215-65-15's.

I can shoot the 215's in a few days. I'm away for the holiday and it's sitting resting comfortably in the garage.

Cool deal, no rush. I just don't want the slightly larger one looking odd.

The 300SD is still running the 14"s, and has 205/70/14 Michelins.

I think the rather tall tire gets wishy/washy becuase of how narrow the rim is and how big the tire is.

My 240D has 215/55/r14's I think? A good tire size and lots of footprint.

THe sidewall is TOO high so you don't feel too loose on the road.

My 300SD has 16's on it so I can't help ya there

The D has 195/75 14s

Stock was listed at 185/80 14 but good luck finding those.

We have 195 75 14s on the 300D and I think these are the most bang per buck. Fill up the wheel well nicely. Not great for spirited driving though, but thats not what we do anyway.

If you go to a 70 series tire, you should use 6.5 inch wide rims.
