Exclamation need tire advice for 98 e430 ASAP today~!

I need to get tires on my e430 today as I have an unexpected raod trip this weekend. I have had 2 sets of the Michelin MXV4 H rated tires on the car and I don't really like them. They are noisy, and they car feels very vague.... steering isn't very crisp.

The tires are the factory size 245 55 16... any suggestions? I would like something a little more responsive and not quite so loud.....

I'm pressed for time so I will keep checking back.

It seems impossible to get a consensus on what are really good tires in a given price range. I think it's so subjective and there are so many different cars using tires for so many different purposes that there's no one answer.\

Do some quick research yourself here:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/SearchTires.jsp

You can read test results (make sure you click the link at the bottom of the test results to see the graphs) and owner reviews of the tires. Typically, you get what you pay for, so for a really safe, reliable tire, expect to pay in the upper price ranges.

See my thread below about track tires for my E420.

#1.) the 98 E430 did not come from the factory with a 245/55-16 ... it came with a 215/55-16

#2.) I would go with a Bridgestone Turanza LS 'H' rated in a 225/55-16
