I've got a set in the classified section for a 126 for $200. You can have them powdercoated or painted and save quite a bit over wheelcollission's price if you need a full set.

I have 15" 6 hole rims on my E420 Special Edition... I'd like to get Chrome wheels for it.. but I cannot find the 6 hole ones in chrome..
would it be more costly to have the ones on my car Chromed or buy new ones. the ones on my car are scratched up pretty good.. if anyone has suggestions I'd appreciate it.. thanks Don! |

I love the look of chrome rims but sooner or later, they start leaking air.

Chrome is too nice for my "runner" - but I like that site a lot.

Chrome leaking air
You are absolutely correct about chrome rims loosing air, but there is an alternative. Use nitrogen filled tires, nitrogen molecules are much larger than oxygen and therefore less likely to leak. Of course you should still seal the edges due to corrosion that lets the air excape.
My two cents worth! |
