New tire wobble?

I just replaced my two rears with Michelin Destiny tires. The front ones the PO bought and are decent tires with a good speed rating.

I have been driving on the new tires around 2 weeks and it seems when I am on the highway going over 55 I can start to feel from the rear a small side to side movement. The wheels lug nuts are all torqued properly.

I tired increasing the air pressure to 39 psi on the rears and 35 on the front and seem to firm up the ride but not change this side to side problem.

I didn't seem to feel this before I replaced the tires. All I can come up with now is the different tires are causing this problem.

Any ideas?

Its possible they or one of them is bad...some tires are defective from the factory and some fail shortly after being put on the car. I've had Bridgestones do that before twice and one another brand I no longer remember.

You also don't have matched tires x4. There is gonig to be a difference in size and tread wear between the 2. Might want to try putting them up front and see if you get the same thing. If so it's back to the tire dealer.

Swap them with the front and see if you get the same thing.

I swapped the rear tires to the front and it seemed to follow the new Michelin tires.

I went back and ended up getting two more since they thought maybe the mismatch of tires might be causing it and my other ones were like about 50%. They bought them from me so it wasn't that much more.

Now with all four Michelin Destiny they all seemed to have the same wobble or shimmy. It was kinda slighty but when you get up to speed on the highway it was noticable.

I went back today and they put on four BF Goodrich Precept Touring tires and it has seemed to fix the problem. Anyone running these BFG tires?

Maybe I just got some bad Michelin Destiny tires or maybe are just not compatible with the 123 body style.
