A friend of mine needs to replace two tires on his '84 300SD (14" from the factory). He is thinking that, since he has the opportunity to puchase a set of 15" (factory wheels from a '88 300E), why not go ahead and upgrade all around?

Can anybody tell me if this is feasible, possible, a good idea? Will there be offset issues or other extenuating circumstances?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think the offset is different. I've read that the wheels from the 1996 and newer E-class will fit the 126 however.
