it's not accually that bad of product, i have a can in each vehicle ICE... My spare's older then me, but its brand freekin new... still got the nubbies and such.
not ONE time has that tire been ever more then dead weight in my truck. ~Nate

A can of fixa flat works great in a pinch, but I'd avoid it if possible. Once in there, if they ever do want/need to repair the tire, plug or patch, it has to be removed and steam cleaned to get anything to even try to adhere to it again.

well, I use to do all this stuff listed above. Not any more.
Now I buy a real quality tire, take it in every 5k miles for rotation, balanceing and if there is a nail they replace the tire. This is the only way to go. I should have been doing it 30 years ago. You buy a michelin and bring it back every 5k. They will rotate that thing and spin balance it. and replace it at the first sign of a problem.. I find it hard to believe that some of you fellows that are such sticklers for using MB parts, and mb tools and changing your brake fluid. Here you are using tire plugs. |
