I am lookin' into wheels that are only offered in the 17X8 ET30 size for 17" fitment for a W124 E420. I was wondering how well they would work. Thanx for any information.

Duck got pics. I'd like to see what you are thinking about getting if they will work.

The offset for 17x8 needs to be 34mm. I think 30mm will have the rims stick out way too much.
The 500E setup is tricky because you have to find wheels with a hub long and slender enough to clear those calipers, and an offset that keeps the rims under the fenders, otherwise you will get debris thrown on your beautiful paint & lots of chips. :-) neil |

Ashman,
No, I don't have any pictures. I just noticed that a lot of the wheels floating around lately for M-B in the 17" size are offered in 17X8 ET30. So I was just wondering...one thing I hate about the W124 is that the wheel fitment for the car is so annoying...nothing works...oh well...

17x7.5 et35 should work fine Duck.
My car has 16x7.5 et35 and they fit perfect as far as width, and no rubing. I think with 225's though with this setup it would rub. But if going 17's, I think 17x7.5xet35 is the way to go. Alon
