I had all my tires changed two years ago at discount tire with expensive goodyear assurance tires for $92 apiece, or about $345 overall. They had them in stock, and I was all set to go in less than 35-40 mins. I've worn them out pretty well by now though, over 30k of heavy duty driving and my right rear one got a finishing nail stuck in it somehow....but its not leaking air. I have barely 1.5cm of tread left on all of the tires (all even wear, I just kill tires....) The place assured me that I'd get a good 75-80k out of them since they are rated as 80k tires....supposedly you get a credit towards new ones for the amount the old ones didn't last....so I should get over 50% off new ones! We'll see if that holds out....I may switch to michelin destiny tires though, they seem to hold up a lot better....(my dad has them on his 83)

Tires for these cars are very easy to find, most places will have them in stock, and they aren't that expensive, unless you choose a real expensive tire....

If he's driving a 2002 Solara, then they're likely, 16, 17, or even 18" tire, and likely Z rated, so yeah, $700 a set for a SOLARA but you can EASILY find a 14-16" tire for less than $130 each ANYWHERE...

BFGoodrich T/A's last a helluva long time!
