Michelin X-ice vs. Nokian Hakka 2/4
Anyone have experience with these two brands? Currently running Nokian WR all weathers. I'd like to run a dedicated winter tire. Driving will be a mix of snow/slush in temps dropping down to -30F, sometimes through 1-2" of snow on the ground, sometimes on hardpack icy snow.

I just spoke with Ryan at www.tiresbyweb.com and they are offering $10 off per Nokian Tire with FREE SHIPPING in the Continental US if you mention this forum. You can call him at 800-576-1009.

I'm thinking about trying the Nokian RSi this season. Used Nokian WRs the last 3 and did OK, but would like a little more confidence on packed snow.
I've said it before, but I wish Tire Rack would figure out how to sell Nokians...

Dang just got a quote for Nokians from my local Firestone. $750 per set of four.
X-ice at Costco, $421, or $361 between Oct 13 and Nov 2. That's less than half the price. Might just have to go with the Michelins. Why doesn't Tire Rack carry Nokians?

Nokians
We've been asking Luke for years to carry Nokian. Imagine the business they could generate from this forum and word of mouth!

It's probably out of his hands.
