I've always been told by MB dealerships that I couldn't put a larger (taller/wider) tire on my 300SDL, but recently I visited an independent and he says different. He looked it up in his magic book and told me that I could put 215/65/15's on instead of the original 205/65/15's. He also said I could go with a little taller tire if I wanted to. Who's correct? Is there a valid reason not to try and fill up those great big wheelwells other that a slight speedometer error? Thanks in advance.

I have put the 215's on my 126 with no problems. Look a little better too!

I have 215/65/15 on my 126 too and they look better than the original 205s but they ride a little higher. I would go for 215/60/15 in future as the ride would be lower and handling should improve. They fit on the standard 6.5" rims.
