Where are all the 16" rims???? W124

Its impossible to find a decent looking 16 inch rim now days!!! Everybody wants 19" chrome hoopdy rims. Why not just put spinners on your Benz and be done with it. I want my 90 W124 to look classy, not gaudy. Does anyone know where to find some silver alloy 16s? 5x112 7-7.5 inch. I found some decent looking rims on Discount Tire direct, but of course they were out. I was looking at Enkei, MB, ect.... Some help and pics would be appreciated. Come on guys show off your Cars!

I like the forged 16 in alloys that were only offered in the CLK '99 and 2000.
These fit the 124 chassis perfectly and improve handling a worthwhile amount as well as bringing a large spectrum of high performance 16 in tires into play.
These are ultra polishede aluminum natural appearing but are anodized or something, they do not oxidize lke polished alloys and the coating on them is real tough and it cleans off easily, unlike painted wheels.

my son has mid 90's clk 7 spokes on his... i have mid 90's S class seven spokes on the CE...

both are sort of sporty yet elegant in my opinion.

Lee, I thought S class wheels do not bolt on to w124s. What are the specs and part numbers on your S rims? Thanks.

I heard that about the S class, too... I think these are from about 94..

If I am correct.... they are 16x7.5 I have 205-55-16 Michelin Harmony's on them... if I remember correctly the ET (offset) is 37. The offset for the stock 15's is something like 49.

These work perfectly..... they look a lot like CLK wheels... a little less sporty..

the CLK's have "flat" spokes... these are the same dimensions..only a slight profile on them

Lee, I do like these s class rims but I am not sure if they will fit. The bolt pattern is the same 5x112, but I am not sure if the offset will work. If you find out, let me know, and I will buy them from you.

oops, I am sorry...they are not for sale...i just got them for my 300CE...like i said they work great...no offset problems at all.

I got them for 80 dollars for the four...the only issue was shipping..they cost 120 to ship from CA to SC.

There doesn't seem to be much of a market for them... however, there does seem to be more of a market for the CLK wheels, go figure.

Do you have any idea on the weight of these CLK rims? Do the centercaps come off? Are they 7.5 or 7" wide? Thanks!

Dennis

The CLK alloys are really light. Ask greasybenz, he was over and picked up a wheel at my place and that was the first thing he said "wow these are light weight!" Yes the caps come off, I am looking for a set with the laurel against a blue background.
they are 7.0 in wide, here's a thread on them: 124 rim fitment
