What size rims & tires came on stock W210

I just bought a 99 E300 TD that is shipping from east coast. Does anyone know what size rims and tires came on a stock W210 of that year and model.

Also what size tire width can one go to without any mods

Steven

Does going to a 17" rim and 45 height end up the same overall diameter for odometer purposes?

Also on 17 x 7.5 how wide can one go without any modifications?

Thanks

Steven

E420 sport rims on a 99 E300

I was looking at the E420 sport rims (17") not sure how wide they are does anyone know?

Is it possible to fit them on a 99 E300 without rubbing?

What size tires would fit to be same diameter, assuming 45's but how wide?

Thanks

I think I was asking for new information regarding the E420 rims but I do want you to feel good about yourself in these posts. Thanks for the time and effort.

Luke you said:

Will 17" e420 sport rims that are 17x7.5 with ET37 fit on a 99 e300 turbodiesel? and can I run 235s on it, if shock spacers are removed which lowers the body about 1"?

Thanks, sorry if I seemed confused, cause I am

The size Luke gave is the size of ALL Mercedes 17-in wheels for W210 and 235/45-17 is the tire size recommendation for ALL.

Actually there are a few minor wheel size variations, but they're insignificant.

Get the wheel catalog at your dealer.

those measure above are all well withing the safety envelope for tire/wheel fit.
Luke knows what he's talking about. I prefer 17 but went with 18 when the
rims of choice didn't come in 17. so I ended up with 265-35-18 in back and
245-40-18 up front. no drop, OEM springs and spring spacers. no rub. have
Bilstein HD shocks, and 99 E320

for future ref, try this fit engine

Raymond thanks for the information.

I plan to put Bilstein shocks in as well. I will leave stock springs and take spacers out or change them to #1 which I think is the European spec for that car, drops it about 1" or so.

Luke, Do you know where I can get some stock 17 x 7.5 E430 Sport rims?

Thanks

Steven
