impossible to find Hub Cap

I'm got my new wheels for my 300SD. they are getting tires but i still have a problem, I went to all the auto wreckers in Rancho Cordova yesterday looking for this hub cap... and nothing. I knew that i was "rare" but i mean come on there have to be others in existance. I have 3 of the 4 hub caps... but one of them is very scratched up... looks like someone tryed to rip off the mercedes symbol and in the process put big gouges in the chrome. so i need 2 new ones, but if i can atleast find one that would be helpful. thanks

It's hard to find because it's not a factory part. That looks like the cap off an aftermarket Centra wheel. MB dealers might have offered them when the W126 series was new. You might get lucky at a dealership. www.************************ had a clearance on Centra wheels a year or so ago. They might still have caps in the back of the warehouse. Don't forget to check eBay.

Those are rare because rappers are always stealing them and hanging them on gold chains for BLING!

Try Stockton Auto Dismantlers 3239 S Eldorado St. 209 929 3900. Specialize in late model MB's but have alot of older wheels.

According to the hollander interchange, that is not the stock hub cap. Here is a pic of what my computer shows to be the only oem wheel cover. ( I am an auto salvage) http://trade1911.car-part.com/cgi-bin/images.cgi?iIV=3.2.0.59&iTPV=3.2.0.57&iICV=&iCN=jeremy@rjautosalvageinc.com&iKey=7&uIMS=A2&uSearch=r esult&uPart=WHC&uSide=&uInterchange=57003&uModel=MB300&userDate=1984&uID=rjas1tp&uPass=zv7%3F77

I have never seen one like the one you have. If I do though, I will let you know.

What size is it? There are some places around here that specialize in old hubcaps. I can print out a picture of it, but it would be good to know exactly what size it is.

I got a lead on a set of hub caps of Cragislist. i'm going to check them out this weekend. but i haven't seen a pic yet, so its i'm still looking incase they are the wrong ones.

so here is the info you asked about.

they are 6 3/8 inched in diameter. the hole for the screw that holds in on to the wheel off to the side is 13/16 in diameter and is about 1/4 inch from the outter edge. the mercedes symbol in the certer of the cap is 4 1/2 inches in diameter.

like i said i'm fallowing up a lead on craigslist, but i thank all of you for looking for me.

Do they fit onto the factory style wheel? Or are they for the Centra wheels?
If it fits the factory wheel, this may be what you need.

E320wagon'94, i think those are the ones i just bought off ebay. they were the wrong style, but they had the same star, so it wasn't a total waste of an ebay buy... and i got them for $14.

ask junkyardJim in the parts section- aka Jim123$%^ or something like that. He is one of the regular parts hounds/seller. I used to be one, but my new job has slowed down my parts excursions.
