190e tire fitment with 16x7.5

Hello all...

I just purchased a 92' 190e (2.3). I have access to some later model Benz wheels (16x7.5 ET35).

My question is this.. I do NOT plan on lowering the car, at least anytime soon. What size tires will fit?

I have a spare set of Toyo Proxes from my e28 (215/55/16). Will these tires fit without modding the fenders?

Thanks a ton,
Fred

205/50/16 and 215/50/16 are good matches.

205/55/16 is slightly tall but it works.
215/55/16 is a little off and therefore not recommended.

yal is correct. And i can tell you for a fact 215 55 16s will rub like a bizznatch. 205 50 16 is a little shorter than stock and thus pretty skimpy sidewall. I think you would be better off with the 205 55 16s, which wont rub unless your lowered.
